A film set is one of the few workplaces where the risk profile is rewritten every morning. Monday is interior dialogue on a controlled stage. Tuesday is a night shoot on a coastal path in driving rain. Wednesday is a stunt driver, a pyrotechnic sequence and eighty supporting artists.

Apex Medical and Rescue is registered with the Care Quality Commission for two regulated activities:
• Treatment of disease, disorder or injury — the clinical care we deliver on your set is independently
regulated and inspected, not self-declared.
• Patient transport services — we are registered to transfer patients off site to hospital under our own
registration, rather than waiting on a 999 ambulance.
What that means on a production
• Your compliance file is already written. Production health and safety advisers, insurers and completion bond guarantors want evidence that medical provision is competent and properly
governed. CQC registration is independent, verifiable evidence you can hand over on day one.
• We can move a casualty ourselves. On a remote location an NHS ambulance can be a long way off. Our
registration means we can transfer a patient to hospital ourselves.
• Medicines, kit and governance are inspected. Controlled drugs handling, in-date consumables and equipment, verified clinical qualifications, incident reporting with documented learning — all subject to CQC oversight rather than our own say-so.
• Safeguarding and DBS as standard. That matters on any production working with children, young performers, supportingartists or vulnerable contributors.
• It de-risks the decision for you. Duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 sits with the production. Appointing a regulated provider is one of the simplest and most defensible ways to show that duty was taken seriously.
