What is RTACC?
Rescue Trauma and Casualty Care (RTACC) is an advanced course delivering enhanced first aid for emergency services personnel and workplace emergency response teams. It builds the confidence and competence to manage time-critical medical and trauma emergencies.

Syllabus
What is covered
Hands-on training in realistic, high-pressure scenarios, including familiarity with trauma kits, medical packs and monitoring devices.
- Triage and casualty prioritisation
- Haemorrhage control: tourniquets, dressings, haemostatics
- Airway management incl. supraglottic airways
- Chest trauma, e.g. tension pneumothorax, flail chest
- Fracture assessment and immobilisation
Accreditation
A regulated ATACC Group qualification
The ATACC Group offers regulated qualifications with Qualification Network UK (QNUK), an Ofqual, CCEA and Qualifications Wales recognised awarding organisation. Its focus is rapid assessment and management of 'time critical' problems to reduce morbidity and mortality.
