Syllabus
What's covered
Over two days learners build the skills to handle a wide range of paediatric emergencies.
- Assessing an emergency, unresponsive infant or child, CPR, AED and recovery position
- Choking, bleeding, shock, burns and scalds
- Head, neck and back injuries; fractures
- Anaphylaxis, meningitis, asthma, diabetic emergencies, seizures and febrile convulsions
- Poisoning, bites and stings, hot and cold body temperatures
