Already hold a recognised Level 3 first response or casualty care qualification? This two-day Recognition of Prior Learning course moves you onto the FREC pathway with a full FREC 3.
The course
What is FREC 3 RPL?
A shortened two-day FREC 3 for people who already hold a recognised qualification, transferring it onto the modular FREC pathway.
It builds on your prior knowledge, developing anatomy and physiology, airway management and trauma care.
Eligibility
Entry qualifications
You'll need one of several recognised Level 3 awards – for example Emergency Care for First Responders, First Aid Response, First Person on Scene, or Casualty Care for Fire and Rescue Services – or one of these casualty care courses:
- RNLI or HMCG Casualty Care
- Mountain Rescue or Lowland Rescue Casualty Care
- Mines/Cave Rescue Casualty Care
- NHS Ambulance Service Community First Responder
Next steps
Work commercially or progress
On completion you can use your FREC 3 to work commercially, or progress onto FREC 4 to develop your skill set.
