Apex Medical & Rescue is a Resuscitation Council UK approved Course Centre. Our courses run at our training centre at Heatherton Park near Taunton, a few minutes from the M5, which makes us an easy drive for healthcare professionals from Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Bristol and beyond.

Every RCUK course follows the same national guidelines, syllabus and assessment, so your certificate is identical to one from any other Course Centre.

Eligibility

Who the courses are for

RCUK ALS and EPALS are for healthcare professionals who need these skills in their clinical role: doctors, nurses, paramedics and others in acute, emergency, critical care or resuscitation teams. You must hold, or be training for, an NMC, HCPC or GMC registrable qualification. Final-year students can be accepted.

Pre-hospital

Working outside hospital?

For event medics, ambulance crews and FREC 4 holders, our Qualsafe Out of Hospital Immediate Life Support course is a one-day alternative, and the yearly revalidation for FREC 4. See all our pre-hospital courses.

Where are your Resus Council courses held?
At our training centre at Heatherton Park, Bradford-on-Tone, near Taunton (TA4 1EU), a few minutes from the M5.
Is an RCUK certificate from you the same as one from a hospital Course Centre?
Yes. All RCUK Course Centres teach the same syllabus to the same standard, and you receive a Resuscitation Council UK provider certificate valid for four years.
Can I come from Cornwall, Hampshire or Gloucestershire?
Yes. Candidates travel to us from across the South West. Most are within two and a half hours by car.
